The adjacent coffee shop offers a naturalistic, quaint experience for those looking for a cozy spot to take in the countryside while enjoying a latte or two.
Now it’s time for tea
Your mom will love the annual two-day plant sale at the Botanic Gardens for one major reason: the best possible selection of plants, taken straight from the Gardens and hard to find elsewhere. We’re talking perennials, bedding plants, indoor plants, succulents, hanging baskets and more. You could even surprise her with an assortment of her favourites!
The Multicultural Heritage Centre in Stony Plain is housed in an old brick school, which is also a provincial historic site.
And a round of golf
Say you are in need of some extra Vitamin D or have loads of dishes waiting for you at home – you may want to linger in the country a little longer. Visit the Putting Horse Ranch in Spruce Grove. This all-putting course is a lovely walk past black swans, a waterfall and bubbling brooks with lots of songbirds, owls, bunnies and deer around.
